Introducing the NEW Biblical Minute!

 Here's a note from Dr. Steel (I call him "Dad") regarding the NEW Biblical Minute.

Dear Friends,
Thanks to each of you who participated in our recent survey. We are grateful for those who love us and pray for us! We love you too.

Your suggestions were positive and helpful.  Among other things, folks did not seem to have a handle on all of our sites and the resources they contain.

We have responded to the survey by creating a single functional site that provides quick and easy access for the busy servant of Christ. Don’t be fooled by the minimalistic look of the site. This site will soon aggregate most, if not all, of the resources on our other domains.

More than a remodel, this is a repurposing of the Biblical Minute  site.

Additionally, our device friendly site now contains articles and media, which will be more readable, more printable, more viewable by more people, and more suited for teaching purposes.

We are just now implementing a new technology to transform all our PDF’s so that our materials will all be readable by folks limited to dialup. This will require a little time for us to do the conversions, but will be helpful in the end, especially for foreign readers.

We have included a Book Studies section containing full length Bible Book Studies which either Jim or Bob have written. We are also adding sections on Sound Doctrine, Prophecy, False Teachings, and, Salvation and Growth. Of course, we have many other articles just waiting to see the light of day as time and facilities allow.

 We have uploads galore, ranging from 10 minute video presentations to full video or audio studies. Add to that lots of PowerPoint materials, and other images.

You will receive periodic notices regarding a new article or news posting.

You will receive a few more emails during the next thirty days as we add materials on a daily basis. Things will then slow down as we start our road ministry. Thanks for understanding!

Please do take a peek as soon as possible!

When checking back from time to time you will want to visit our Featured Resource page to see what subjects or issues are on the front burner.  For example, at the present time we're featuring a two part video which relates the Bible's Old and New Covenants.  We need this sound Bible teaching.

Thank you for sharing your input, and thanks in advance for your patience while we go through the conversion.

Jim

P.S. Important! The first time you visit our repurposed site you may need to refresh your browser (F5) on each page. If you don’t see the BLUE BANNER across the top, you need to do a refresh.

Psalm 102 and a song for you! (I rhymed!)

Read the Psalm. Then listen to the song. Good stuff! :-)

The Lord’s Eternal Love

A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed and pours out his complaint before the Lord.

Hear my prayer, O Lord,
And let my cry come to You.
Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my trouble;
Incline Your ear to me;
In the day that I call, answer me speedily.

For my days are consumed like smoke,
And my bones are burned like a hearth.
My heart is stricken and withered like grass,
So that I forget to eat my bread.
Because of the sound of my groaning
My bones cling to my skin.
I am like a pelican of the wilderness;
I am like an owl of the desert.
I lie awake,
And am like a sparrow alone on the housetop.

My enemies reproach me all day long;
Those who deride me swear an oath against me.
For I have eaten ashes like bread,
And mingled my drink with weeping,
10 Because of Your indignation and Your wrath;
For You have lifted me up and cast me away.
11 My days are like a shadow that lengthens,
And I wither away like grass.

12 But You, O Lord, shall endure forever,
And the remembrance of Your name to all generations.
13 You will arise and have mercy on Zion;
For the time to favor her,
Yes, the set time, has come.
14 For Your servants take pleasure in her stones,
And show favor to her dust.
15 So the nations shall fear the name of the Lord,
And all the kings of the earth Your glory.
16 For the Lord shall build up Zion;
He shall appear in His glory.
17 He shall regard the prayer of the destitute,
And shall not despise their prayer.

18 This will be written for the generation to come,
That a people yet to be created may praise the Lord.
19 For He looked down from the height of His sanctuary;
From heaven the Lord viewed the earth,
20 To hear the groaning of the prisoner,
To release those appointed to death,
21 To declare the name of the Lord in Zion,
And His praise in Jerusalem,
22 When the peoples are gathered together,
And the kingdoms, to serve the Lord.

23 He weakened my strength in the way;
He shortened my days.
24 I said, “O my God,
Do not take me away in the midst of my days;
Your years are throughout all generations.
25 Of old You laid the foundation of the earth,
And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
26 They will perish, but You will endure;
Yes, they will all grow old like a garment;
Like a cloak You will change them,
And they will be changed.
27 But You are the same,
And Your years will have no end.
28 The children of Your servants will continue,
And their descendants will be established before You.”

The song is "You are God Alone" by Phillips, Craig, & Dean. There's a typo in the lyrics (an ironic testament to the fallibility of men). :-)

Reblogging Today...

One of my new favorite blogs to read is the blog of Dr. Georgia Purdom, who writes for Answers in Genesis.  Her blog post from today is a great example of some of the excellent points she makes. I hope you'll check it out.
